<div>Two weeks ago, in the evening of October 1st, thieves broke into our home in Simi Valley. They caused some property damage and took off with a considerable amount of our more valuable belongings. Sadly, neither of us have insurance for a case like this and the police have been unable to track down the robbers.

<div>While it is disappointing to see the evil of this world, we are reminder yet again that we must not "store up treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal" (Matthew 6:19) but rather set our hope fully on our imperishable and undefiled inheritance in glory (1 Peter 1).
