On Wednesday, March 7th Shon had to undergo an emergency surgery after being diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on her spine only a few short weeks before. Shon had begun to lose feeling in her legs so the surgery was to prevent any further damage and to remove as much of the tumor as possible. After the surgery, she was then diagnosed with plasmacytoma, which is a discreet solitary mass of abnormal plasma cells. Shon is still undergoing tests to discover more about the unknown. She will also begin radiation treatments as well as physical therapy to help get functionality back in her legs.

Shon is the most strong willed and compassionate person one could meet. She is a loyal friend who is always willing to help out others in anyway she can. She works two jobs to help support her 2 incredible kids, Kristen & JaKobe, who are their mom’s pride and joy. She never meets a stranger and always has a smile on her face. Even though she has been through so much already she is still finding ways to create laughter and smiles every day with anyone she encounters. She has the love and support of many family and friends because of the loving person she is. She has given so much to so many people and deserves the same now.
