<div>Hi everyone, good morning! My name is Sherron McFarlane. I am well known in the Darliston and surrounding communities, and I myself worked as a teacher, pastor, and guidance counselor in the area. I am from Darliston in Westmoreland, Jamaica. This is one of the areas directly hit by the category 5 Hurricane Melissa. <strong>Almost everything is destroyed. The people are homeless, hungry, and desperate.</strong> I am just at a loss for words, not knowing where to turn and what to do! I am thinking we just have to reach out and help one person, one family, one community at a time, in whatever way we can. I told my family that I am going to start a GoFundMe to assist my community and the surrounding communities and people they know elsewhere. <strong>Food, water, bedding, and clothing are the most urgent items of need.</strong> We have decided that we will send money today as a first aid for the purchase of food and water. We will follow with shipping barrels of food and clothing, toiletries, and bedding. I am appealing for any help that we can get to help the communities.
