HELP SHELBY with her fight against Cancer!
Unpaid time off, 2 out of pocket max deductibles and 4 months of complicated news take a toll on a person!
LET’S RAISE HER IN PRAYERS & HELP EASE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN!
Shelby has had a rough last quarter of the year! It’s more complicated (and overwhelming for her) with each doctors visit.
Starting in September she had an unexplained blood clot in her leg that moved to her lungs!
The meds for the clot made her super weak & anemic getting her re-admitted to the hospital. Testing at the hospital revealed Uterine Fibroids.
However, the Fibriods were removed and tested, she was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer.
The hope was that a full hysterectomy would take care of the cancer. If it was contained by her uterus lining then the hysterectomy would be the final treatment.
She underwent the hysterectomy (which she was pretty terrified of to be honest) a few weeks prior to Christmas and had to wait 3 daunting weeks over the holiday to get the test results back from a special pathology lab.
She handled the whole procedure and wait like a champ, with positivity and strength!
She had her follow up with her Oncologist the day after Christmas. UGH!
The Oncologist shared the news that her pathology revealed Stage 3 Endometriosis Cancer, which was NOT contained by the uterine lining.
This means this is just the beginning of the fight for her!
She has to undergo both 6 rounds Chemo and Radiation beginning the first week of January (the day before her birthday!)!
This will be a 4-6 month treatment regimen.
Luckily, the Oncologist said the prognosis with this treatment plan is good.
We are all super thankful that the crazy blood clot in her leg revealed this in time to allow her to fight it!!
In her words, and we can all a test, she is a FIGHTER!
Unfortunately, now on top of a lot of unpaid time off over the last quarter and having to meet her full on out of pocket max in 2018, she will have to come up with that AGAIN in January if 2019!
This is a complicated situation but there is also so much to be thankful for in this story... one part of which is the people that have read it!
Thank you for the love, support and prayers for Shelby and Junior both! ❤️
