<div>We are asking for help with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits as Sheila continues to fight a battle none of us ever expected. Sheila has been diagnosed with Blastomycosis (Blasto), a serious and life-altering illness that has turned her world upside down.
</div>

<div>For 22 long days, Sheila has been incredibly sick — 12 of those days were spent in the hospital, fighting just to stabilize her condition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today we are anticipating Sheila coming home. This next chapter will look very different for her. She will not be working for awhile, she will be on long-term medication, and will have many traveling appointments with physical therapy, pulmonary and cardiology. She will need breathing treatments, a walker, and will be unable to drive until she regains strength. Possible home health support, along with extra help from friends and family for daily chores and tasks, will be essential.

<div>Sheila is now on multiple strong, life-saving medications that come with costs and the risk of additional complications. At this time, there has been no conversation about her returning to work, as her body needs every ounce of energy simply to heal.
</div>

<div>Right now, Sheila is slowly regaining her strength — even something as simple as breathing takes effort. This illness has been a massive setback to her life, and with continued medications, frequent medical appointments, and careful monitoring, doctors estimate her recovery could take six months to a year.
</div>

</div>
<div>The financial burden has quickly become overwhelming. The funds raised will help cover medication, bills and everyday living expenses. Until Sheila can come up with a plan for the short/long term financial plan since she will be off work for such an extended amount of time. This so Sheila can focus on the most important thing right now — healing.
</div>

<div>If you are unable to donate financially, we completely understand. Meal drop-offs or prepared meals would be deeply appreciated, as Sheila will not be able to cook while she recovers. Sharing this page, sending prayers, or keeping Sheila in your thoughts also means more than words can express.

<div>Sheila will need help in more ways than one. This is one of the biggest and most challenging times in her life...- mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. She needs love and support more than ever. Every act of kindness, big or small, truly means the world to her and our family.
