<div>I went to  the dentist the 1st week of March. Got an abscess a week later, was on meds(clindamycin)for the infection, then got the c-diff. I have been fighting it since. I  had a reoccurrence after a taper dose, and the wrong dose was prescribed by my primary doctor.

<div>I was  on cycle two of a tapered dose of meds. I was in the last 7 days(every other day dose), and it got worse. I ended up coming home from camp very ill.

<div>On the way home from camp I started getting massive chills and a fever. The fever spiked to 102.2. My wife Jaci made me go to the ER. I was referred to the specialist.

<div>I have met with the disease control specialist Dr. George and have started Dificid as the Vancomycin has not helped. 
</div>
<div>I just ended a 10 day cycle. Our insurance company is denying the next cycle. The medication cost $5300-$6200 out of pocket(a bit cheaper with a coupon.)

<div>I just got back to work today after a month’s leave. I still have a long way to go.

<div>I still have to finish the next 40 days of Dificid. However, my insurance is denying the claim. After this round I will

<div>go in for an infusion. I might be a candidate for a fecal transplant(last resort.) I have lost income and a huge amount of medical expenses. The fear is not  being able to afford the medications that are working and end up out of work again, or back in the hospital.
