<div>Sharon Laubach and Andy Mishkin met and fell in love while working on Mars missions at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Their combined time working on NASA missions is greater than 50 years, dedicated to serving this country and the world through the advancement of science.

<div>Their beautiful home hosted many parties and gatherings, small and large. It was filled with collectibles, one-of-a-kind furniture crafted by artisans they know, treasured artworks from cherished friends and Andy's amazing art. Their backyard wildlife cams wowed us with photos of bears, bobcats, and more creatures visiting Sharon's exquisite garden. Before they bought the house 24 years ago, a different NASA engineer owned it, and it was full of precious mementos from that engineer and from their own storied careers.

<div>Was, because that beautiful sanctuary is now gone, claimed by the Eaton fire in Altadena on January 8, 2025.

<div>Sharon, Andy, and their two cats (Loki and Phantom) escaped with their lives—but nothing else.

<div>And now it's time for us to take care of them, as they've taken care of all of us for so long. <strong>Please support them to cover unexpected costs while they figure out all of the details they never wanted to think about—how to file insurance claims and start over.</strong>
