Meet our family! My name is Shannon, and I have an amazing husband named Jonah. We have 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 7. My husband, who has always been our provider, was suddenly disabled and largely bed ridden, over 4 years ago. I took over his care and the role of breadwinner. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have worked hard to beat it! Unfortunately, we have found out this month that it has traveled to my brain. I'm continuing treatment and remain optimistic, even while realistic. Friends, family and strangers have been so kind over the years, stepping in to provide everything from meals to help with bills. I come, humbly again, asking for help for what is, I hope, the last time. Due to my treatments, and emergency brain surgery I have about a month of lost wages. I hope to be well enough soon to return to a full schedule. At this time, I can not afford to go on SSDI fo cancer at the moment, but that remains an emergency option. But that is not possible this month. Any help offered will go a long way. Thank you yet again. We are deeply grateful.
