Francisco is raising this fundraiser for <strong>Shahid Ashrafi</strong>, a friend and coworker who is preparing for triple bypass heart surgery on September 14 of this month. Shahid is the kind of person who is always there for others. At work, Shahid is known for picking up extra shifts to help fellow coworkers, working overtime when needed, and bringing a positive attitude and a smile even on difficult days. Now, as Shahid gets ready for this major surgery, Shahid is the one who needs support.

 As Shahid prepares for surgery and the recovery period ahead, the financial pressure continues to grow. The funds raised will help cover medical expenses and other upcoming costs while Shahid is unable to work. On top of that, Shahid has no sick leave remaining and did not have short- or long-term disability coverage in place, which means these expenses will have to be faced alone without this help.
