<div>My brother Sergio, age 62, has been diagnosed with kidney failure — his kidneys are functioning at only 18%. If they drop to 15%, he will need to begin dialysis.

<div>To make things even more difficult, Sergio is also battling Valley Fever, a serious lung infection that makes it hard for him to breathe. Because of his declining health, he’s unable to work and does not have medical insurance.
