Support Sean Reynolds 17-Year-Old Shooting Victim

Donation protected

Sean Reynolds, 17-years-old, student at Harbor Teacher Prep Academy high school was tragically shot in the Jordan Downs area of Los Angeles while trying to sell his PS5 to two juveniles. One of the juveniles shot Sean and was then ordered to "finish him off"...all while Sean was bleeding out, lying on ground. By the grace of God, the shooter decided not to take that second shot.

Sean sustained life-threatening injuries from the gunshot wound, and doctors have considered him a miracle based on his condition upon arrival to the Emergency Room. Sean was immediately rushed into a 12-hour surgery. He has since had over 8 surgeries and received over 80 units of blood.

Sean sustained a transpelvic gunshot wound. The bullet fragmented, leading to his being hypotensive, tachycardic and suffering from hemorrhagic shock. He was immediately redlined to the OR where he was found to have massive intra abdominal bleeding including arterial and venous bleeding from both sides of his pelvis, requiring a transfusion of 75 units of blood.

Sean and his family say they owe his survival to the LAPD Southeast Division and all of the first responders on the scene.

From his hospital bed, Sean graduated high school on June 3, 2021 with honors, a 3.8 GPA, and four associate of arts degrees in: Social and Behavioral sciences, Health and Fitness, Math and Natural Science and Arts and Humanities from Los Angeles Harbor College. Upon graduation, Sean also received the US President’s Education Award for Educational Excellence, LAUSD Superintendent's Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.8 GPA or higher in all A through G courses, was a Silver Seal Bearer for a 3.5 GPA and also made the Dean’s List for part time students at Los Angeles Harbor College.

Sean plans to attend Penn State University in the fall, and will spend all monies received towards college expenses as well as hospital expenses and extended therapies. Sean endeavors to obtain a Juris Doctorate from one of the top 14 law schools (preferably Harvard or Yale) upon graduation from Penn State University.

Sean Reynolds is the living, breathing definition of courage, optimism and resilience.
