Make a Difference: Help Fund My Eagle Scout Project at Wild Kid Acres!
Hello! My name is Malone McArthur, and I am a Boy Scout working toward the rank of Eagle Scout. I have created this page because I need your help to make a meaningful impact at Wild Kid Acres in Edgewater, MD—a community farm dedicated to education, sustainability, and bringing people and animals together.
For my project, I’ll be improving storage and organization for this Non-Profit’s equine care needs. Right now, there is no proper storage for essential items like tack, feed, and grooming tools, making it difficult for volunteers, staff and visitors to care for the horses efficiently. These closets will protect important equipment, keep the farm running smoothly, and create a better experience for everyone who works with the animals.
How You Can Help
I have calculated necessary costs, and after contacting my local lumber and hardware suppliers, a goal of $2,500 will cover the cost of materials to complete this project. Every dollar counts, and your donation—big or small—will directly contribute to making this project a reality!
✅ $25 helps buy weatherproofing supplies
✅ $50 covers hinges and latches for one closet
✅ $100 sponsors an entire section of the build
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is the best way to help achieve this goal!
Why This Matters
Wild Kid Acres is more than just a farm—it is a place where kids, families, and the community can learn, grow, and connect. By supporting this project, you’re helping a local 501(c)3 Non-Profit to provide necessary care and ensure that their horses receive the best care possible while also supporting a space that educates and inspires so many people.
I am incredibly grateful for your support. I am so excited to make this happen together!
Thank you,
Malone McArthur
