Screen25: Help us keep local cinema alive in 2019!

Screen25 (screen25.com) is a community cinema based at Harris Academy South Norwood. Our vision is for an accessible cultural hub that reflects community needs and demographics; a space for local people to come together and enjoy a diverse, carefully curated programme of independent new releases and cult classics.
As a self-funded Community Interest Company we rely solely on ticket, bar and membership sales to cover our high overheads. Sadly, due to limited marketing resources and the lack of a 'shopfront' presence, we've found it a struggle to achieve the audience numbers we need to break even, and as a result we find ourselves in a very difficult position, accumulating nearly £1,500 in unpaid film licensing and venue hire fees.
We have applied for funding to help with marketing costs, so that we can reach more people in 2019. This will also enable us to keep our prices down and see through the development of a more permanent cinema facility at the soon-to-be community hub Socco Cheta.
In the meantime we need help to raise the money we need to balance our books and give us a fresh start, so that we can continue to bring affordable cinema to South Norwood.
