I’m Sasha, the owner of Sasha’s Sourdough Bakery opening in Historic Dublin. As many of my longtime followers and customers know, I had originally planned to open my first brick and mortar this October. Unfortunately, we’ve hit substantial unexpected costs with construction that’s brought everything to a halt.

Sasha’s Sourdough isn’t just my dream, it’s my only source of income supporting myself and my 3 kids. I haven’t shared this because it feels too raw for a bakery page… but I’m a newly single mom navigating a lot of challenges, with very little support, trying to open my first shop to provide for my family. Even though I feel shame admitting this, It’s been so overwhelming and all consuming. If I’ve seemed quiet or distant lately, this is why.

I’ve received astronomical bids for essential work: upgrading electrical capacity, new panels, new HVAC, all new plumbing, a larger water heater, even new support beams in the basement since the existing ones are literally old tree stumps.

Last week everything came to a head and I broke down. I’ve poured everything into this. Financially, emotionally, & physically. The community and the bakery mean so much to me. 

The truth is, I need the bakery open this season to stay financially stable. I’m requesting tenant improvement funds, & even if that is granted, there is still a financial gap I can’t close on my own. 

That’s why I’m asking for your help. I’ve started a crowdfunding campaign to get the bakery doors open!

Every dollar raised here will go directly toward:

•Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC upgrades

•Bringing the bakery up to code for health and safety

•Getting the ovens running and the doors open

You’ll receive an exclusive “Private Reservations” baking class with me, where the bakery will be reserved and closed to the public after hours.
