Hi,

My name is Sara Eydmann, and I’m 29 years old.

I am attempting to be the first documented female to run the North Coast 500 route in Scotland.

The route consists of 516miles and 10,000meters of elevation. The route itself is around the top of Scotland's coasts with rugged roads and challenging climbs.

I am attempting to set the fastest known time for the route to show that gender shouldn’t be a barrier when accomplishing dreams.

I have found comfort in accepting running is my special interest. I know the run will be physically, emotionally and mentally challenging, but for me, as a high-masking autistic female, the real challenge for me, will be everything outside of the run. I want to show that in spite of my autism, I have found strategies to allow myself to challenge the narrative society has placed on those labelled autistic and have set my own goals that might not make sense to the average person.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to help raise funds specifically for use to prepare, fund and carry out this project.

I am doing this project with minimal funding; therefore, raising the money to help me pay for physio, coaching, nutrition, the team of people who will come with me, organisation, food, kit, media, accommodation, petrol, and travel.
