<div>In the face of devastating wildfires, Santiago Martinez, a dedicated gardener, father and a beloved member of his community, fought fiercely to save his friend’s home. For hours, he fought the flames to save his friend’s house, tirelessly watering it and keeping watch, working through the night, without sleep, until he knew it was safe.

<div>Unfortunately, in the process, Santiago lost everything he had worked so hard for—his gardening tools, his equipment, and many personal belongings that were essential to him, not just as a gardener, but as a father and friend. Santiago’s hands, which have cultivated gardens and nourished friendships, are now empty. His heart is full of love for his family and his work, but his tools—his livelihood—are gone.
