<div>Sandy Jones Hayes has always been a source of hope and compassion in her community, dedicating over 20 years to dog rescue and helping countless animals find loving homes. Recently, Sandy faced her own life-changing challenge: she received the gift of a healthy liver after a successful transplant at MUSC in Charleston, SC. The journey to this milestone was not easy—Sandy spent months bedridden, followed by a 7-week hospital stay, and now she is working hard to regain her strength at the MUSC rehab center.

<div> While the transplant marks a new beginning, it also brings new challenges. Sandy’s doctors required her to stay in Charleston for at least two weeks after her release on February 9th, so she coukd attend frequent appointments and follow-ups. This meant she needed funds for hotel stays, transportation to and from the hospital, and a caregiver to help with daily needs. Sandy’s immune system is still very fragile, so her home needed  a thorough cleaning before she could safely return after being away for four months. She also faces continous out-of-pocket expenses for food, paid rides to appointments, and medical equipment that insurance does not cover.

<div>She is doing well 3 months after transplant but her kidneys are not doing well and may have to have a safety net kidneys transplant.
</div>
<div>Sandy is on a fixed income which is stretched to the maximum.
</div>
<div>Food is always a big concern, she receives monthly benefit of 239 which is not much for nutritional food. 
</div>
<div>Her home has to be cleaned by a paid person every week due to her low immunity and risk of liver rejection.  Laundry also is professionally done for same reasons.
</div>
<div>She is now entering the most critical phase of 3 to 6 months with the highest risk of liver rejection.

<div> Sandy has always given selflessly to others, and now she needs her friends, soft landings rescue famiky and
