 My name is Kayla, my big sister, Samantha, was in a car crash during hurricane Lala. She was driving home after taking me to work, and a man coming down the hill hit her head on. They suspect he died of a heart attack before smashing into her. She shattered both of her femurs and broke her hip, both the ball and the socket. She spent around 7 hours in surgery to repair the damage to her legs. She will be completely non weight bearing for 6-10 weeks. We are asking for help because we live so far from the hospital and rehab centers and stuff. We have a little savings of our own, but it’s draining fast traveling so far every day to be with Sammy, plus none of us are currently working and Mom will probably have to miss work until Sam can walk again. We are hoping to find a rental closer to town. The house we live in is on post and pier, and is also very small. We just need to get closer to town and in a bigger place so that she can come home and we can take care of her.
