<div>Salt, a beloved restaurant in Fairport, New York, has been a gathering place and source of local pride for our community. As a local Instagram content creator of the page Fairport Foodand Drink, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know owners Katie and Armando and the staff, sharing Salt’s story and celebrating its role in bringing people together over great food and warm hospitality. The owners and staff have always gone above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, and their dedication has made Salt a true local favorite.

<div>On the morning of January 21, tragedy struck when a reckless driver crashed into Salt, destroying the kitchen and forcing the restaurant to close its doors. This sudden event has left over 25 hardworking employees without work, many of whom rely on their jobs at Salt as their sole source of income. For others, their part-time roles provide much-needed support for themselves and their families. The closure has created an urgent need to help these employees cover essential living expenses, including housing, insurance, food, and monthly bills, while repairs are underway.
