<div>On Tuesday, July 8, the Hope fire tore through our beloved neighbor Sally Shaffer’s property, destroying both her home and the Crown Creek Saloon — a landmark she and her late husband, Steve, built together in 2001.

<div>Sally was able to evacuate safely, but she has lost everything.

<div>This loss is unimaginable. Sally is not just our neighbor — she’s family to all of us at Bull Hill and in our wider community.

<div>Sally has faced heartbreak before. Just last year, she lost her husband Steve, a proud Vietnam veteran and the love of her life. Together, they poured their hearts into building the life they shared — and now, in the blink of an eye, the home and business they built together are gone.
