Hello, I am Lindsay Neitzelts sister. She gave birth to my sweet little niece, Ryleigh Hendrickson, on March 27th. As many of you know, Miss Ry was born with Trisomy 21 and a severe heart defect. Thankfully, Lindsay and Sam were able to take her home for a bit, but her heart was working too hard for her to gain weight adequately to prepare her for her impending heart surgeries. Therefore, Ryleigh has been hospitalized since May 8th at WVU Children’s Hospital in the cardiac ICU. Lindsay has been unable to work because she has been there every day leaving only briefly. Ryleigh’s dad Sam has been driving back and forth trying to maintain work and also be with her. This has been emotionally and financially taxing. Based on conversations with the doctors, Miss Ry will be there indefinitely as they take all measures they can to help her thrive and reach the weight she needs to be for surgery. Once that happens, she will also be there for rehabilitation with yet another surgery in sight. I am asking for any help for my sister and her family that can be given to help lessen the emotional and financial burden they are experiencing. I am also asking for Ryleigh to be in your daily prayers. This little one is special, her fight is strong, and she has so much to offer this world. Help me, help her have a fighting chance!
