We are organizing this fundraiser for the Carman Family as they walk through an incredibly difficult time with 6-week-old Rylee Pearl. Alex and Alec have always dreamed of starting a family together. They are the kindest and most generous people, who are always so supportive to others in need. Now, as they welcome their precious baby, they are facing a heartbreaking and overwhelming challenge. Rylee has been diagnosed with Cystic Biliary Atresia, a rare variant of biliary atresia in which a fluid-filled cyst forms in an otherwise blocked or obliterated extrahepatic bile duct. On September 2nd, Rylee underwent the Kasai surgery at Mount Sinai hospital in NYC and is recovering in the PICU. Right now, the Carman Family is focused on giving Rylee the care, comfort, and support needed through every step ahead.

Donations will help ease some of the heavy burdens this diagnosis has placed on the family, including medical bills, housing, lost wages, medications, and ongoing support for Rylee. Every act of kindness can make a meaningful difference as the Carman Family navigates appointments, treatments, and the uncertainty that comes with caring for such a young baby with a serious medical condition. Please consider supporting the Carman Family during this difficult time. Any help, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, is deeply appreciated and will help surround Rylee Pearl and the Carman Family with love and support when they need it most.
