<div>Hello! We’re Ryan and Kate and today, November 6th, marks our 2nd wedding anniversary. Instead of celebrating together, we are reaching out to our community to ask for help in light of last night’s election results.

<div> We currently live in southern Florida with our beautiful pets (2 dogs and 3 cats), but no longer feel safe. As we are two queer adults, Florida is no longer going to be able to offer the safety of necessary medical and gender affirming care we need.

<div>Ryan is a man of trans experience that has been on HRT for almost a decade and has had 2 gender affirming surgical procedures in pursuit of authenticity and self-love. Staying in Florida is a direct threat to his well-being.

<div>Kate has recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness and now risks being denied emergency care in a moment of need because of who we are and where we live. This is untenable and we are working to mobilize as quickly as we can to move our family to a safer environment.
