<div>With great sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news that Rufina Tolmacheva, four of her children, and her brother-in-law, Valerie Ekamasov, were involved in a devastating car accident while traveling on I-95 in South Carolina. They were on their way to Virginia to attend the baptism of Rufina’s 18-year-old son, Elijah.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tragically, Rufina, her 15-year-old son David, and Valerie passed away at the scene.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rufina’s family has already endured tremendous hardship. In 2014, Rufina lost her husband and was left to raise their children without him. In 2022, Rufina and her children were forced to leave their home and move to the United States, where they began rebuilding their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rufina’s children Sofia (16), Felix (14), and Amir (5) were transported to the hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. Sofia and Felix have undergone surgeries, while Amir thankfully suffered only minor injuries. They continue to need our prayers as they recover physically and begin to face the unimaginable loss of their mother and brother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Valerie's family will have a separate funeral fund managed by his wife, Vira Bychkov.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We ask first and foremost for your prayers for the entire family during this incredibly difficult time. Please pray for Sofia, Felix, Amir, Elijah, and all of their loved ones—for healing, comfort, strength, and God’s sustaining grace in the days ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If the Lord places it on your heart to help financially, any contribution would be deeply appreciated. Funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used toward Rufina and David’s funeral expenses, as well as hospital bills, medical expenses, and other immediate needs resulting from this tragedy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funeral arrangements and the care and future needs of the children will be coordinated by their uncles, Timothy Katko and Timothy Bychkov.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No family is ever prepared for a tragedy of this magnitude. Whether you are able to give financially or simply keep this family in your prayers, your love and support mean more than words can express.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please also consider sharing this fundraiser with your family, church, friends, and community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>May the Lord bring comfort to this grieving family, healing to the injured, and strength for every difficult day ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and support.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
