Support Roy's Village in the Sri Lanka Crisis

Hi Everyone,

 

Many of you have probably heard about the economic problems Sri Lanka is facing. Roy and I have remained in touch throughout 2022 and things are getting desperate for his friends and neighbours.

 

Petrol is no longer available, the cost of food increased by 400%, and the value of the LKR has plummeted.

 

Roy and his Villa have had a very good tourism season from last November onwards, and while things have slowed down again, Roy is in a good position to ride through this storm personally.

 

However, many of Roys neighbours in his village have been coming to him for help for basic supplies like rice, vegetables, and medication. Roy has been helping where possible, but he can’t sustain this for long without help.

 

Everything donated will be put towards buying basic groceries in bulk. Just like last year, Roy will put together supply boxes to donate to anyone who needs help in his village. Roy has already been doing this over the last month, but he needs our support to keep doing it.

 

We know that times are tough for everyone now, but Roy and I are asking if you can help in any way. Even $10 can keep a family fed for a day or two.
