Friends and Family of Roxanne,

You may probably already know that our dearest Roxanne has been fighting a battle against triple negative breast cancer as of earlier this summer. While we know Roxanne is a strong a$$ woman, she’s got a long journey ahead of her involving chemotherapy (two rounds of several months of treatments), surgery, radiation, and immunotherapy. It’s no surprise that our gal has been charging ahead at full steam, taking on the diagnosis and initial treatments with the can-do vigor we have all seen before as a hallmark of Roxanne’s personality. Like many of you, I have wanted to share my support to Roxanne emotionally, helping her to know she has a whole village behind her to help her get through the next year. I’ve been wondering if there is more I can do to help her, and I have been approached by friends and family who would like to do the same. Medical expenses are seriously expensive, even with health insurance. As one example, Roxanne’s out of pocket cost for her initial breast biopsy is $8000 - keep in mind, this is AFTER her medical insurance has covered their part. This is her cost. An unexpected expense for sure.
