<div>In the Fall of 2019, life took a turn for single mom Rosalee when she was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. She had a 7.5cm tumor in the nasopharynx and cancer that spread to 8 lymph nodes of her head and neck. NPC is a very rare form of cancer and life saving treatment was required at the Mayo Clinic. There, she was assigned an Amazing Care Team and treatment included Chemotherapy and Extensive Proton Beam Radiation Therapy.
</div>
<div>Miraculously, Rosalee came through the extensive treatment but it wasn’t without an enormous battle and fight. Rosalee’s body endured a lot to say the least! Rosalee was bedridden in ICU, had a feeding tube placed in her stomach, had to learn to eat again, walk again, not to mention all of the other conditions that arrive after such cancer treatments. The aftermath of these treatments are immense. In 2022, a tumor presented at the original site and skull based surgery was preformed to eradicate that.

<div>Again, miraculously Rosalee persevered and pushed forward successfully through the second bout of cancer.
</div>
<div>In February, Rosalee fell ill with what we thought was a virus attacking her liver and immune system. Rosalee is under the care of a dedicated medical team at Mayo Clinic, who are closely monitoring her condition. Further evaluations are underway to assess the situation and determine the best course of action.
</div>
<div>Rosalee’s Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis have also been sent into painful and at times debilitating flares that will require ongoing infusions at The Mayo Clinic.
</div>
<div>With these complex medical issues, come ongoing medical appointments and expenses that add up quickly and can become a significant financial burden. If that is not enough… when it rains it pours, as Rosalee needs to find a better equipped vehicle for winter travel before the snow flies and accommodating housing that meets her medical needs.
</div>
<div>Rosalee has exhausted all sick pay. And for all of these reasons we are launching this fundraiser.
</div>
<div>The funds raised will go directly to Rosalee’s ongoing travel and lodging costs associated with medical appointments at Mayo Clinic, lost wages, living expenses, securing a reliable vehicle for navigating harsh Minnesota winters, physical therapy equipment and home medical accommodations.
</div>
