I come to you with a humbled heart, asking for your help during one of the most challenging times of my life.

In November 2023, I suffered a stroke that left me unable to walk or perform many of the daily tasks I once took for granted. During this ordeal, doctors discovered I had stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to my liver and lungs.

Through God’s grace, the cancer in my colon is now gone, but it remains in my liver and lungs. For nearly a year, I have undergone grueling chemotherapy treatments, fighting with everything I have to hold on for my wife, for my kids, and for every precious moment of life.

Despite having insurance, the financial burden has been overwhelming. Blue Cross Blue Shield covers only 80% of my medical expenses, and I still face $45 copays for each visit at least four times a month. The travel expenses for treatments in Amarillo, coupled with living on a limited disability income, have left my family in a dire financial situation.

My wife has selflessly stayed by my side as my caregiver, giving up her own work to care for me every day. While I continue to fight, I know my time may be limited. What breaks my heart most is the thought of leaving my family not just with grief but also with the crushing weight of medical bills and funeral costs, as I don’t have a burial policy.

This is why I’m reaching out to you. Any donation, no matter how small, will be a beacon of hope for my family during this dark time. Your support can help ease the burden and provide us with some peace as we navigate this difficult journey.
