<div>As you all know our mom Pamela is fighting incurable brain cancer and it has been stressful on our family especially our dad Rodney who has consistently been there for her. Our dad is dedicated to caring for our mom as much as he possibly can. He is by our mom’s bedside EVERY DAY. He has not missed a day since she was hospitalized on February 10th.

<div>For four months he used to drive to Baltimore every day to sit with our mom before driving to work in DC and on some days, he would spend the night in her room. Now that she’s in an assisted living facility closer to home, he stops in to see her in the morning, goes to work on a modified work schedule, and then visits her on his way home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He doesn’t complain even though this has taken a toll on him physically, mentally, and emotionally. He wants to do what’s best for our mom and he’s not the type of person to burden others with his problems.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re sharing this because we want our village to help him out.
</div>

</div>
<div>Insurance doesn't cover the cost of the facility our mom is in so our dad has to come out of pocket and pay for the facility and it’s over $5,000 a month. Insurance does cover some supplies for our mom, but we recently found out that it’s not as much as she needs and some items run out before the next order arrives. So our dad must pay for those needed supplies.

<div>In addition, he has medical bills to pay for our mom’s hospital stay. Insurance did cover most of her bills but there were some expenses that weren’t. And there are still small items he purchases to make our mom comfortable.
</div>

</div>
<div>On top of everything going on with our mom, our dad still manages to go to work every day and take care of the house to include yard work, some cleaning, washing clothes, cooking sometimes, and other household responsibilities. And he also makes sure he makes time for his grandson.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our dad has tapped into his savings and he has sold off some assets to pay for our mom’s expenses but we don’t know how long that will last based on her life span.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know that a lot of people have said that they want to help us out and we believe this is a good way to do it by lightening the burden on him. Anything that you can donate will help him tremendously with medical bills and supplies, food delivery, and any other miscellaneous expenses that come up.
</div>
