<div>My name is Dave Erdmann. I am requesting support for my wife, Robyn. Throughout our 42 years of marriage, we have looked forward to retirement. Instead of spending time together to travel and visit family, we find ourselves fighting cancer.

<div>Robyn is a retired special education teacher and a mother of two adult children. She taught special education to give back to the wonderful teachers who helped our son navigate living with autism. Robyn has always given her all to help those around her, but now she is the one who needs help.
</div>

<div>In February, <strong>Robyn’s life changed with a diagnosis of stage 4 bladder cancer</strong>. I am asking for help to ease the financial stress so that Robyn can focus completely on recovery. I want to do all I can to help Robyn, but at times I feel so helpless. Robyn is on a roller coaster of emotions, and I find it hard to ease her pain. She is experiencing sleepless nights and often finds it difficult to see God’s plan. She worries about how her illness is hurting the family financially.

<div>Since the diagnosis, Robyn has begun a treatment plan, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. These costs, combined with my having to cut back working part-time and Robyn not being able to accept any substitute teaching jobs, have placed a heavy financial burden on our family.
</div>

<div>Even though we are continuing this journey in hope, insurance expenses for her treatments, prescriptions, hospitalizations, and care are increasing. We originally thought that we could handle the financial costs. Unfortunately, with receiving surprise medical bills, paying current bills, and preparing for future costs, we are overwhelmed.
