<div>Our names are Frank and Jukka. We are writing to ask for help on behalf of our friend Rob and his family. He recently had surgery to attempt to remove a cancerous brain tumor on the left side of his head. Further surgeries and treatments (including chemo) are needed to hopefully return Rob to normal life as the sole provider for his family (wife Colleen and sons Caden, Gavin, and Logan). As a father and provider, Rob has always put others first. Now, amid this unimaginable challenge, he and his family need our support.

<div>Earlier this year, Rob’s wife Colleen noticed sudden and strange memory and language issues with him. Soon, he had a seizure, which landed him in the emergency room and led to a lengthy hospital stay and several tests. During the hospital stay, the doctors had a difficult time stopping his seizures, and the medical experts discovered the tumor on the left side of his brain/head. Due to strong medication, continued seizures, and not being able to work, Rob has been on medical leave from his work for over 3 months.

<div>After a long wait, Rob finally had the first brain surgery on May 23rd. The surgeons were able to remove only 50% of the tumor to preserve Rob’s speech and cognitive functions. More treatments are needed, which include surgery, targeted treatments, and chemotherapy.

<div>Rob and his family have a long road of medical procedures ahead, and medical expenses are already mounting, and the road ahead includes further treatments that will place a tremendous financial burden on his loved ones. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward Rob’s care, helping to relieve the financial strain so his family can focus on healing and hope.

<div>Rob’s spirit is electric—his humor, kindness, and presence light up every room he enters. Simply put, we are all better for knowing him. Since Rob and his family are proud people and don’t want to ask for help themselves, we wanted to do it on their behalf.
