Hello, my name is Lucy. On June 16th, 2025, my grandson Robert was riding his mini bike. When the chain from the bike broke, he crashed into a parked RV. As he was trying to get up, a speeding car hit him and dragged him 50 feet. He was pinned under the car for what seemed like an eternity. When he was taken to the hospital, he was treated by a trauma doctor due to his condition. He had road burn all over his body due to being dragged under the car. He had 19 broken ribs on his right side, his left lung was collapsed, his right shoulder was dislocated, he also had a broken ankle, and the worst was a broken spine. On June 17th, he had to undergo 3 different surgeries for his ankle, his dislocated shoulder, and his spine. He is slowly recovering. The doctors say it is going to be a long recovery.

So the reason I am starting a GoFundMe account is to help his mother with the hospital bills and also help her pay her rent for July and maybe August. Since the accident, she has not gone back to work; she has been by his side night and day. She thought she had enough vacation/sick time to cover the time she was going to be off, but unfortunately, the time ran out. She is a single mother of 3 boys and is the head of household.
