<div>In April we moved into our new apartment in the perfect location after our landlord doubled our rent.
</div>
<div>I cut myself on a mattress box while setting up a bedroom.
</div>
<div>Whén the wound didn't heal completely and became infected, I went to the emergency room. I was admitted with critical ischemic limb disease and left the hospital 8 days later with 2 angioplasties and 1 stent. My surgeon said I would need the same procedure on my other leg once fully recovered.
</div>
<div>Fully recovered I went for testing July 21 excited about having my 2nd procedure so I could put these health issues behind me and enjoy our new home. When my surgeon told me testing revealed I was no longer a candidate my heart sank.
</div>
<div>My primary doctor gave me the bad news the next day and I was admitted to Hospice July 22 with a poor prognosis.
</div>
<div>I couldn't believe my inherited disease had progressed so quickly.
</div>
<div>I was in shock.
</div>
<div>But enough about me.
</div>
<div>My son Robert has been with me every step of the way and this fundraiser is for him although he doesn't know it yet.
</div>
<div>In the midst of the move and my health issues his company had been reducing hours. He was actively searching for more stable employment and he was hired by a great company. However when we got my diagnosis he asked his new boss if it would be possible to delay his start date. His boss said "absolutely! take care of your mom and know that you have a position waiting for you".
</div>
<div>I cried when he told me. What a great boss!
</div>
<div>Rob never complains, but I can tell he is worried about bills and supporting his family without a paycheck.
</div>
<div>As a parent, knowing our children are going to be ok when we leave is all that we really want in the end. I am failing to see how the burden of caring for me will leave him ok. I have so little time left to correct it.
</div>
<div>If I can help to relieve his financial stress by reaching out to the kindness of others, I have to try. when one lost paycheck could make a difference in lifting his spirits during this incredibly difficult time.
</div>

<div>Any donation no matter how small appearing in his bank account will be a joyful surprise, as opposed to more bad news. and money going out.
