My name is Danielle, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my father-in-law, Robby Baker. Anyone who knows Robby knows him as one of the most genuine, kind-hearted people you could ever meet. He is a devoted husband, loving father, proud Papa, brother, son, and a true friend to all. Robby has a gift for connecting with people—he can strike up a conversation with anyone and talk for hours, always making others feel seen and valued. He is the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, no matter the time or circumstance.
On the afternoon of January 1, 2026, Robby suddenly became very ill, and his wife, Pam, rushed him to the hospital. He was quickly diagnosed with an acute heart attack and was urgently transferred to St. Vincent’s Hospital. During the transfer, Robby suffered multiple cardiac arrests. Upon arrival, he was taken immediately into emergency surgery that lasted more than four and a half hours.
Doctors discovered a 100% blockage in one of his arteries. During surgery, Robby had three stents placed, along with a temporary cardiac support device to assist his heart function and allow it time to heal. After an incredibly long and frightening day, Robby was placed on a ventilator and admitted to the cardiac trauma ICU, where he remains under close monitoring.
While we remain hopeful and grateful for every small sign of progress, the road to recovery will be long and challenging—especially for Pam. Robby is the primary provider for their household and does not have health insurance. Pam is now facing time away from work, daily two-hour commutes to be by Robby’s side, and the responsibility of becoming his caregiver once he is able to return home.
We are asking for support to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to Pam to assist with essential expenses such as medical bills, household costs, gas, meals, and lost income. Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference and help allow Pam to focus on what matters most: Robby’s healing and recovery.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this time.
