Support Riley Zimmerman's Medical Mission to Peru

Hello, I am Riley Zimmerman a Sophomore Nursing Student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This year I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on a trip to Peru with Mizzou Global Medical Training! Mizzou GMT is an international humanitarian organization in which students provide free medical services to underserved communities in Central and South American countries. GMT helps to provide healthcare students an international experience that helps to expand understanding of medicine and life outside of the United States.

Why Peru?

-A large portion of the population live in or near levels of poverty

-Healthcare quality is low

-Medical facilities, personnel, and drugs are often lacking in rural areas

What will I be doing?

During my time in Peru, we will be conducting workshops and assisting in clinics. This will not only enhance my skills in the healthcare world but also provide essential support to communities that face significant healthcare challenges. Your support will help me cover essential costs such as travel, accommodation, and supplies needed for training. By contributing you are directly impacting the lives of thousands of individuals by helping to equip them with knowledge and resources for proper medical care.

What I need help with...

-Flights (In and Out of Country)

-Registration (Hotels, Transportation to Clinics, Meals)

-Medical Supplies (Scrubs and Medications)
