<div>Sue and I have gone back and forth about asking for help—but the truth is, we’re running on fumes.

<div>This isn’t easy to share, but after much prayer and reflection, I feel led to reach out.

<div>Because of my recovery from Multiple Myeloma, I won’t be able to return to work for at least another six months. Over the past year, we’ve depleted our savings just to get by. Now, we’re at a place where we need help to cover the gap until I’m back on my feet.

<div>My Story

</div>

<div>In August 2024, while I was still working, I began experiencing constant fatigue, back pain, and persistent brain fog. I went in for a routine check-up, and my doctor noticed something unusual in my bloodwork. More tests confirmed the diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma—a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow.

<div>While it isn’t curable, it can be managed with ongoing treatment.

</div>

<div>This past year, I underwent chemotherapy and, in May 2025, had a successful stem cell transplant at UC Davis. My own healthy stem cells were collected, cleaned of cancer, and returned to my body to build a brand-new, cancer-free immune system.

</div>

<div>Right now, my immune system is still rebuilding. I have to avoid crowds, sometimes wear a mask, and take every precaution to avoid illness. Over the next 4–5 months, I’ll need to be re-vaccinated with all my childhood immunizations to protect me for the future.

</div>

<div>The good news? My doctors say the transplant worked. I’m cancer-free and feeling stronger every day—so long as I stay healthy during this vulnerable recovery phase.

<div>Why I’m Asking for Help

</div>

<div>Until my immune system reaches 100%, I can’t safely return to full-time, in-person work. I’m doing what I can from home—continuing my 45-year career in construction consulting (ctnontime.com) and building a digital marketing business (dailypayincomectn.com)—but it’s not enough to cover the next several months of living and medical expenses.

</div>

<div>Sue and I have been Christians since 1971, and our faith is the foundation that’s carried us through every trial. We believe God has brought us this far for a reason, and I often tell Sue, “Maybe our hard times will be a blessing to someone we don’t even know yet.”
