I am raising money for Rick and his son, Luca, as they navigate an incredibly difficult time after the loss of Kara, Rick's beloved wife and Luca's devoted mother. Kara recently lost her battle with cancer, leaving her family to not only grieve her passing but also face financial challenges.

Kara was an extraordinary person who could light up any room with her smile—a smile so radiant it made the whole room shine. She was kind, caring, and strong, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Kara was also confident and funny, and every conversation with her was filled with warmth and joy. She touched the lives of so many and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

With no life insurance in place, the costs of Kara’s burial or cremation are an immediate hardship. On top of this, Rick took an unpaid leave from work to help care for Kara during her final days, further adding to their financial strain.

Kara once said that she wouldn’t want people to cry for her but instead celebrate her life. She wanted everyone to smile and remember her for who she was and not what her disease took. Per Kara’s wishes, Rick and Luca would like to host a beautiful celebration of her life—a meaningful gathering to honor her memory and the joy she brought to those around her.
