<div>On January 4, 2025, Amity and Victor welcomed their precious baby girl, Renleigh, into the world. This should have been a time of joy, but their hearts are heavy as they navigate the challenges posed by Renleigh's serious health issues. Since birth, she has been diagnosed with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and congenital heart failure, two unrelated illnesses that have greatly affected her well-being.

<div>Since her birth, the family has been met with only frightening diagnoses and multiple lengthy hospital stays. Despite their frequent visits to doctors and specialists within the St. Luke’s network, they have yet to be provided with treatment options or a clear prognosis. They have made persistent requests for answers after undergoing numerous diagnostic procedures, specialist interventions, and several stays in the NICU, yet they have faced a lack of cooperation and non coordination of care. Most frustratingly, their requests for a referral to the children's hospital in Utah have been denied, leaving them feeling helpless in their search for answers.

<div>Because the doctors refuse to refer Renleigh to Utah, the insurance covering her is relieved of its obligations to make payments for care outside of the Idaho providers. This means that any necessary expenses for Renleigh to be seen by specialists who can offer the help she needs will have to be paid out-of-pocket by Amity and Victor. This financial burden adds to the stress they are already experiencing as they strive to give their daughter the best chance at health.

<div>Financially, the family is facing significant challenges. With no referral in place, the costs associated with traveling to Utah for specialized care will fall entirely on Amity and Victor, who have been unable to work due to the extensive time required for hospital visits and appointments.
