<div>About 6 months ago, she thought she was sick, so she had a scan done to check. Well, they didn't find a sickness, but they did see a shadow. Fast forward, she started a new job and she ended up breaking her back at work, which her boss never let her fill out an incident report and told her that she was always in pain and would be fine. She was taken out of work for a couple of months after she sought medical attention. While dealing with the back issue, her doctor wanted her to get a CT to look at the shadow. Low and behold, she had a mass in her lung. She got her pre-surgery testing done, which revealed low sodium, so her doctor called her back in and told her she had about 3-6 months to live (without treatment or if they can't get it into remission) given her symptoms, etc.

<div>So we ended up having to get her lung biopsy. The surgeon said he would go down her throat, along the wall of the lung, and then take his sample. When she woke up, he said he didn't even have to enter the lung as he took it from her airway, so it had grown. She has aggressive small cell lung cancer. We are now looking at another scan to see if it has traveled anywhere else, as well as going to meet with oncology to see what her treatment options are.

<div>She has been out of work for months and has no money to pay her rent, utilities, medical bills, etc. No life insurance, no back up plan as she was about to start another new job away from her horrible boss, nothing. The last thing she needs right now is more stress, and I hate that I can't take away her pain and make everything better, as she always did for me. So here I am, asking for any help we can get, while I try to keep my momma for as long as I can, I love her so much and my little baby and I are not ready to say goodbye and neither is she. My dad has been gone for 3 years and it's just her, my younger brother, our children, and I left to hold on to.
