<div>September 7th, I will be running a half marathon in Sackets Harbor to raise funds for Albany's Refugee and Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus (RISSE). I have been volunteering as an English teacher for RISSE since 2023, working with remarkable people from all over the world who are starting their new lives in the United States.

<div>RISSE provides essential services to immigrants and refugees, from language classes, to visa application and citizenship test support, to basic supplies for children and families. I am very proud to be a part of this organization and excited to support them further in the critical work they do.
