Hello Everyone,

We have finally caught the puppy that has been wandering around our neighborhood, Reedy Fork!

He has been to the vet and checked out. For the most part, he is in good shape. We were able to get him his rabies shot so that he can be around people and fully vaccinated pets. He also doesn't have a chip or other identification. They are guessing he is 9 months to 1 year old.

The veterinarians have all stated that we are not able to give him his full round of vaccinations and have a neutering procedure until he has been in my custody for 10 consistent days. I also had to file a lost pet report to Guilford County and pet sites to give the owner additional time to find him.

I am hoping that I get to provide him with his forever home filled with love and lots of belly rubs.

I will be treating his paws that are raw from the cold, and also his skin wounds that are throughout his body. Hopefully, within the 10-day custody, our boy will be almost fully healed.

This GoFundMe is to help cover the costs of all of his vaccinations and to get him neutered. Any additional funds will be used to pay for medications to treat his skin wounds and paws, food (he is very picky as we've all figured out), and training treats. We have researched local cost-effective vets and the cost across the board is $800 - $1000. I will schedule him an appointment for day 11 of him being with us.

Due to the holiday, I'll have to call and make an appointment on Tuesday. If you are more comfortable with donating directly to the vet, I will post that information as soon as I have it.

The plan is to train him to be a wonderful member of our Reedy Fork community. Then he can participate in community events and meet all of you. He is anxious around crowds and he is overly zealous about playing with other dogs. He is also a leash puller, but he is very responsive to command and consistent instruction.

He is beyond sweet and a huge fan of cuddling. If he isn't playing, you can find him on his bed, belly up, snoring up a storm. He loves fetch and he is actually a huge fan of baths.

We have decided to name him Reevous. It is a mix of Reedy (for Reedy Fork) and Grievous (Star Wars dorks... I have no shame). We figured it was a strong, unique, and dedicated name to thank the community for everything you've done. He seems to be very responsive to this new identity.
