Help Our Clients Hit a Home Run in Recovery ⚾️❤️
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We’re reaching out on behalf of Stepping Stones Rehabilitation Services through DCI, a program dedicated to supporting individuals in their recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We’re raising $2,000 to give our clients a shot at something they’ve never had before—a chance to play on their very own softball team.
For many of us, joining a local sports league might seem simple. But for our clients, it's a symbol of something much bigger. It's about belonging, healing, and hope.
Most of our clients have never played on a team. They’ve never worn a uniform, never stood on a field with a crowd cheering them on. They’ve spent years feeling isolated, ashamed, and disconnected from their communities. But now, they're doing the hard work—attending group sessions, showing up for themselves and each other, and committing to a new life.
And they’re asking for something different this time:
Not another meeting.
Not another lecture.
Just a chance to play.
A chance to laugh.
A chance to feel normal again.
They want to play in a local softball league this summer—and for the first time, we’ve seen a huge spark of interest. Clients who used to shy away from group activities are now asking about practices, jerseys, and team names. They’re excited. They’re hopeful. And for some, it’s the first time they’ve looked forward to something in a long while.
We just don’t have the funds to make it happen.
That’s where you come in.
Your donation—no matter how small—will help cover:
League registration fees
Equipment and uniforms
Transportation to games
Every dollar goes directly toward creating a safe, sober, and supportive space for these individuals to grow stronger—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.
This team isn’t just about softball.
It’s about second chances.
It’s about recovery in action.
It’s about proving to themselves and the world that they are more than their past.
Please consider donating and sharing this with your network. With your help, we can step up to the plate and give these amazing people the fresh start they deserve.
Thank you for believing in recovery, in hope, and in community.
With gratitude,
The Team at Stepping Stones Rehabilitation Services
