Ray’s Seafood is a beloved seasonal restaurant on the beach, known for its fresh seafood and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to a business matter, the restaurant has been closed for two extra months and there is currently no scheduled reopening date. This unexpected closure has left five key employees—four servers and one cook—without work or income. These employees are not the owner or manager, but they are the backbone of Ray’s Seafood, helping the restaurant get through the start and end of each season. They also play a crucial role in training the high school and college-aged workers who make Ray’s Seafood such a special place for the community.

 The loss of income has affected these employees personally, making it difficult for them to cover their basic living expenses. They are dedicated to Ray’s Seafood and want to return when the restaurant reopens, but the uncertainty has put them in a tough spot. The funds raised through this campaign will help them pay for essentials like rent, groceries, and utilities, and will give them the support they need to stay with the company rather than seeking new jobs elsewhere.
