<div>My name is Marylou Borja, and I am the mother of Raymond Caleb, my 16-year-old son, who was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive brain tumor. We are raising funds for his treatment at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA, to help cover medical costs, travel, and lodging, as we live in Modesto.

<div>In early 2025, Raymond began experiencing double vision and headaches. Initially thought to be dehydration from soccer, his symptoms worsened into severe migraines. An MRI revealed a tumor in his brainstem, affecting his motor skills and vision. Surgery was not an option, and after a biopsy, it was confirmed that he has DIPG. The tumor had been present in his pituitary gland as early as 2023 but was previously overlooked.

<div>Raymond is a wonderful son, always joking, thoughtful of others, and known for his kindness and generosity. He spends hours playing soccer, and his love for the game is matched only by his desire to help others. His strength and positive attitude continue to inspire us during this difficult time.

<div>Raymond’s treatment plan includes radiation therapy and participation in clinical trials, which we hope will help slow the tumor’s progression. He will also undergo physical and occupational therapy to regain his strength and mobility. While the journey ahead is uncertain, we remain hopeful for his recovery and are doing everything we can to support him.
