<div>The Carnival and Fair promises to provide a vibrant and playful atmosphere around the town centre and seafront for two days at the end of July. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible and for it to be an uplifting and joyous celebration of the town, an important part of the Ramsgate calendar and part of our shared heritage.

<div>The Fair runs for both days and includes the Parade of the Giants on Saturday as well as a dog show, market, carnival art workshops, traditional rides, sensory area, bar featuring Gadds CarnivAle, music and more.

<div>Meet the Kent Giants, Ramsgate Hooden Horses and their fellow hoodens from all over East Kent, Miss Ramsgate and the Charming Courts of Kent, our smoke breathing dragon, Samba Ya Wantsum drummers and other Carnival characters.
</div>

<div>After lots of conversations with our community, we’ve changed the Carnival parade route this year to make it tighter and more enjoyable for everyone. Please help by spreading the word about this important change. The parade will now go from Government Acre along Royal Esplanade, St Augustine’s Road, Paragon and Royal Parade, up Harbour Street, along Queen Street and Westcliff Road then down Grange Road and back to the starting point.

<div>We’ve printed up lots of fliers and posters, designed by the brilliant Jules Bigg of Fresh Produce, and delivered them to local schools and everywhere else we can think of so that as many people as possible will know what’s going on and be able to get involved.

<div>These days it has become much more difficult and expensive to stage a Carnival. But we love this event and are committed to developing it every year and delivering as much joy and fun as possible to the people of Ramsgate - and visitors!
