I met Rachel through the Buy Nothing group when she posted that she was in need of food for her 5 children. We have since become friends and she just needs a little community support.

<div>She is a single mom to 6 children (5 live with her). Two are autistic. She has stomach cancer, diabetes, and has been in and out of the hospital for the past 4 years. She used to be a bus driver for AC Transit before she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2007. The house they live in currently had toxic black mold recently in the kitchen from a leak in the upstairs bathroom, which took the housing authority months to fix. She is overwhelmed and is asking for help from the community.
