Rachael Blackwell is a devoted mother of 3 beautiful girls. She lives near Mannford OK, but works full time as a Security Officer in Tulsa OK. She has to leave home early in the morning to make the drive into Tulsa to be at work at 7:00a.m. Just before 5:30a.m. on Monday September 25th, 2025 Rachael had just pulled onto the highway near her home. As she was accelerating to normal highway speeds an oncoming car crossed the center line and started heading right for her. Rachael attempted to avoid the collision by veering to the right but it was too late. Her actions probably saved her life, but it wasn't enough to avoid the accident and resulting injuries. As you can see in the photo of Rachael's 2002 Ford Mustang, the oncoming car obliterated the entire left side of her car. Rachael's vehicle ended up in a ditch. the other vehicle flipped over and skidded off the road. That person wasn't seriously injured. He crawled out of his vehicle and went to check on Rachael. First Responders were quickly notified and upon arrival had to use the jaws of life to cut Rachael out of her vehicle. Rachael was transported to the Mannford hospital first, but was then transported to St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa due to the extent of her injuries. Rachael suffered a fractured skull, and her left arm was utterly shattered, broken in multiple places. The surgeon wasn't sure at first if he could save Rachael's arm, but after several hours of surgery he had it held together with metal plates, screws, etc. He had to totally reconstruct her elbow. Fortunately though Rachael did suffer a skull fracture there was no brain swelling or bleeding.

Raising 3 girls and making ends meet on a Security Officers pay is challenging on a good day, but now that Rachael is out on medical leave things are going to get even tougher. It'll be a few months before Rachael will be able to return to work. She is now without her full income, and without a vehicle. Rachael's family could use some help with food, back to school clothes for the kids, and keeping the bills paid until Rachael can go back to work.

Rachael's 2002 Ford Mustang was old, but it only had 126,000 miles on it. It got her to work and back home again reliably for the most part. Although it isn't the ideal vehicle to transport 3 kids, it was all she had. Unfortunately the car isn't worth much in the eyes of the insurance company, so replacing her car is going to be challenging. Rachael had been saving money for some time in hopes of getting a mini-van. Perhaps we can help her with that as well?

My name is Spencer Rich, I have known and worked with Rachael for about 3 years or so now. She is always upbeat and positive with a cheerful attitude. She's always eager to take on more responsibility, and is extremely caring and compassionate towards others. When we visited her in the hospital she was laughing and smiling through the pain and frustration of her situation. I set up this GoFundMe with the support of Rachael's co-workers solely to help and assist Rachael and her family through this difficult time. Any and all donations are appreciated and will go directly to help Rachael and her family. If you are unable to donate monetarily but want to help in some other way please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
