Support "The Force" Marching Band Uniform Drive

Want to join us in making a difference?  We are  raising money to
help the Spirit Lake High School Marching Band, and any donation
will make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution
to this cause that means so much to us.

The current marching band uniforms that we have at Spirit Lake High School were actually purchased new in 2001, so they are older than most of the students in the band.  They have served us very, very well; but after 18 years of use, they are at the end of their working life.  The average life span of a band uniform is 8-10years.  While our uniforms may look fine from a distance, many are beyond repair because of worn fabric, torn and broken zippers and snaps and years of mending and cleaning.

We are working to generate funds to purchase a whole new set of 100 uniforms, which would give us enough to outfit the band plus some extra sizes to fit more students as the band grows.  In this time of tightening budgets and growing expenses, we are turning to our friends for help.  We currently have about $28,000 of the $43,000 needed in our Uniform Replacement fund  and our fundraising efforts continue.  To ensure delivery in time for the marching band season in the fall of 2020, we must raise the additional $15,000 by the end of the year.  

We have set up this Go Fund Me page to reach out to friends of Spirit Lake High School's "The Force" Marching Band; including parents of current students, alumni and parents of alumni, community members, and anyone else who loves marching bands and recognizes the impact marching band participation has in the lives of our students.   At a cost of just over $400 per uniform, this is a huge undertaking for our organization, and your donation of any size will be greatly appreciated.
