This campaign honors animals and the arts, two things I’ve been passionate about since I was a little girl. Here's A Little Bit About Me: My name is Atiya Lilly-Gassaway and I am an Animal Activist/Actress from NYC residing in Atlanta. I've been an animal activist for my entire life. From writing petitions when I was younger to stop deforestation & protesting in a cage to represent the stress that tigers in the circus feel; I've found my passion in animal welfare. This year I wrote, produced, cast and will be directing my very first feature film titled "Pure" In hopes to build a platform and spread awareness about animal welfare to the masses. Pure is a love story/comedy written based off of factual stories that I’ve experienced throughout my dating life. Pure brings light to topics such as self worth, self awareness, healthy and unhealthy friendship, parental issues, abuse (verbal and emotional), animal activism, plus many other causes and topics. The donations raised for Pure will go towards production fees, location fees, crew and cast meals & logistical fees. 20% of the proceeds will be donated to an animal charity of my choice (I am open to recommendations). I will announce when that donation is made and give a special thank you to everyone contributed. My goal is to inspire and awaken my peers and people of every generation. I hope to teach my younger cousins what NOT to do and show them a better example, I hope to teach young women and men my age, who are in similar circumstances that they're not alone and there is hope. I hope to inspire the older generation to have conversations with my generation and truly hear our beautiful thoughts and dreams. I hope to inspire EVERYONE to search for your passion and find a beautiful dream to follow. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
