Support Poki

Hi everyone, this is Poki! He's a 2.5 year old corgi and was a very healthy and happy boy. Last week, he started having uncontrollable shaking on the left side of his body. We went to the emergency pet hospital and was told that it looked like he was having partial seizures and they had never seen a case like this before.

He stayed the night and saw a neurologist in the morning. The neurologist told us it was most likely an auto-immune disease but he wasn't sure. We opted out of an MRI and Spinal Tap since it cost around $3,500. We took him home and started him on a steroid medication for it and he only got worse. He started having tremors on the right side of his body and was unable to do anything like walk or even sleep. We went back to the emergency pet hospital and decided to get an MRI and spinal tap since nothing was working and we had no idea what was wrong.

The results came back and it confirmed that he had an immune-mediated disease causing inflammation in his brain resulting in the tremors in his body and affecting his ability to walk or do anything. This disease is caused by reasons unknown and just happens. He is still tremoring and struggling to walk so we're hoping that we can find a solution for him.
